Highlighting

Highlighting

Eloquent allows you to seamlessly highlight and capture text on any webpage into your notepad.

Activate Highlight Mode

Turn on highlight mode by clicking the highlighter icon in the toolbar.

You can also activate the highlighter with the keyboard shortcut ⌃H.

Lastly, you can enable highlight mode by selecting the command in the Command Palette.

Highlighting Text

With highlight mode enabled, use your mouse to click and select text on the page.

When you release the mouse button, the selected text will be highlighted and copied into your notepad.

Highlights only stay on the page for the current session. If you refresh the page, highlights will be removed. Your text will still be in your notepad.

If you create a bullet list in the notepad first (e.g - ), the highlighted text will be added as bullet points.
